Gold Coast Suburbs Guide: From Surfers to Coolangatta

The Gold Coast stretches over 57 kilometres of coastline with each suburb offering a different character. Surfers Paradise is the tourist hub with high-rise apartments, nightlife and beach access. Broadbeach is a step more upmarket, with Pacific Fair shopping centre, the casino precinct and a quieter beach. Burleigh Heads has a surf-village feel with strong cafe culture. Currumbin and Coolangatta at the southern end are popular with surfers and those seeking a quieter lifestyle close to Tweed Heads and the NSW border. Inland, Robina has a large shopping centre, family housing and the train line south to Varsity Lakes. Coomera and Pimpama in the north offer newer estates and direct M1 access to Brisbane.
