Entry fees at Gold Coast attractions have risen by an average of 12 per cent since January, with several venues posting new rates on their websites this week.
The increases coincide with the start of the cooler months when locals and interstate travellers shift from beach days to indoor and hinterland options. City of Gold Coast data released last month showed a 19 per cent jump in domestic visitor numbers for July compared with the same period last year, pushing demand on paid facilities and paid parking.

Visitors heading to Kurrawa Park in Broadbeach will pay $8 for all-day parking after 10 am on weekends, while the nearby Gold Coast Aquatic Centre at Southport charges $7.20 for adult entry and $5.10 for children. Both sites sit within a short bus ride of the G:link light rail stops at Broadbeach South and Southport, where single fares start at $3.60 with a go card.
Further south, the HOTA Gallery on Surfers Paradise Boulevard offers free general admission but charges $22 for its current winter exhibition ticket. The venue is served by the 700 bus route that runs every 15 minutes from the Gold Coast Airport interchange.

Figures published by the council on 1 July list family day passes at the Aquatic Centre at $22.50, up from $20 last winter. Advance online bookings for HOTA exhibitions close 48 hours before each session, and the centre reports that 65 per cent of tickets now sell out on the day they open. Parking at Kurrawa Park reaches capacity by 11 am most Saturdays, according to the Broadbeach precinct association.
Travelers arriving by car should allow extra time for the M1 Pacific Motorway, where average delays at the Smith Street exit have lengthened to 18 minutes during morning peaks this month. Those using public transport can download the TransLink app for real-time updates on the 700 and 777 routes that connect the airport, Broadbeach and Southport.
Check venue websites the night before travel for any weather-related closures, as the Aquatic Centre cancels outdoor lane access during heavy rain. Arrive with a go card already loaded or cash for parking machines to avoid queues at entry points.
